Eight Fate is operated by SR Ventures. This policy describes what we collect, why, and what we have deliberately chosen not to collect. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@srventures.io.

What we collect

  • Birth details — date, time, and birthplace coordinates. These are the input to the chart calculation. Without them there is no product.
  • Account details — your email address and name, if you sign in with Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Payment records — handled entirely by Stripe. We store the resulting subscription or order status. We never see or store your card number.
  • Generated readings — kept so you can return to them without paying to regenerate.

Analytics — and what we do not keep

We run our own analytics rather than a third-party service. There are no Google Analytics, Meta, or advertising scripts on this site, and nothing here is shared with an ad network.

For each page view we derive a country, a device class, an operating system family and a browser family from the request, then discard the IP address and the full user-agent string. Neither is ever written to our database. Visits are grouped by a random identifier held in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab and cannot identify you.

Because of this we set no analytics or advertising cookies, which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in.

Third parties

  • Stripe — payments and subscriptions.
  • Google — sign-in, only if you choose it.
  • Our reading model — your computed chart (pillars, elements, luck pillars) is sent to a language model to write the interpretation. Your name and email are not sent with it.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, correction of it, or its deletion, by emailing contact@srventures.io. Deleting your account removes your charts, readings and account record. Payment records are retained where tax law requires it. If you are in the UK or EU, these rights are yours under UK GDPR / GDPR; if you are in California, under the CCPA.

Retention

Charts and readings are kept while your account exists. Analytics events are aggregate and contain nothing that identifies you. Ask us to delete your account and we will.

Children

Eight Fate is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
